The history of catering equipment begins with an oven.
At least, that’s what we know today since the oldest evidence of food cooking dates back to, listen up, 29,000 BC.
Right in that period of prehistory, the Upper Paleolithic, when Neanderthals disappeared from the face of the earth and the first cave paintings began, we know that the oven appeared. Exactly in Southern Moravia, in today’s Czech Republic, we have one example.
It’s not an oven with heating elements and baking trays as we know it today, obviously!
Rather some sort of barbecue made in a hole about 120cm wide, in which the inhabitants cooked delicious dishes. Especially based on Mammoth meat.
But also reindeer, bears and horses. In short… whatever there was.
They weren’t that fussy back then!
Anyway, let’s get back to the present day. The oven is a pillar of professional catering. And why not dedicate a specific hood to it?
Here for you the Aluminox hoods for electric ovens: they extract cooking fumes and drastically reduce the odours produced, thanks to the built-in UV-C + Ozone lamps. Up to 94% of the fumes produced are effectively treated.
