King Lasagna

Francis II of Bourbon was the last Monarch of the “Kingdom of the Two Siciles”, the Reign located in the South of Italy, whose army and entourage had been disappearing gradually as closer Garibaldi was approaching the Capital, Naples.

“Franceschiello” (Little Francis) was a skinny, shy and submissive person, raised according to the strictest dictates of the Catholic religion (during the night, a watchman had to stay besides his bed to make sure the young heir to the throne didn’t touch himself…).

But in such a restricted childhood, at least he was given a treat: Lasagna.

He was so fond of that traditional dish that He passed to history with the nickname of “King Lasagna”.

We’re not sure if he had have given up Lasagna in exchange of another “treat” he was forbidden to have.

I’m pretty sure the answer is “yes”.
