It’s funny how words change meaning over the centuries.
Take classic, for example. Its etymology takes us back to the times of ancient Rome.
In the Latin of the first centuries of the Empire, in fact, “classicus” was an adjective that indicated a thing or individual as “belonging to the highest social class”.
Being mostly linked to the Hellenic world or the first Roman poets, the concept has transformed from elitist to “tied to tradition” over the centuries. Never losing its “elegance”, we could say.
“Classical music”, “classic clothing”, “classic colours”. And so on…
And an extraction hood can also be “classic“.
Speaking of which, “Classic” by Aluminox is a traditional, elegant and functional line. Available as “central” or “wall-mounted“, easily installed even in small kitchens.
