Be honest, what comes to mind when you think of Transylvania?
Oh yes, Count Dracula.
Anyway… the charm of this historic region of Romania is certainly not limited to the successful literary invention of Bram Stoker.
The Dacia of the Romans, then torn away by the Goths.
And then Attila and his terrible Huns (and their dry-aged meat), the Báthory family and the secrets linked to Princess Elizabeth.
And, nowadays, the uncontaminated woods and the breathtaking panorama given by the view of the Carpathian mountains.
And the food. Great food!
As such as different types of dry cured pork sausage.
Just like the ones in the photo, seasoned in the Inox Bim climatic cabinet, called to do its job in the splendid setting of Someșul Cald, a quite nice small village in the mountains, just a few dozen km from Cluj-Napoca!
